What Work is Taking Place?
 

 

On Thursday November 14th, 2019, crews will perform a concrete pour at the main entrance station box of Fairbank Station. Work will begin as early as 6:00am and the pour will be ongoing until approximately 7:00pm. The concrete will form part of the future station’s Main Entrance below grade slab. Concrete pumps will be placed at Vaughan Road and within the Main Entrance work zone. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place.  

 

Hours of Work

  • As early as Thursday November 14th, 2019.
  •  The concrete pour will begin at 6:00 a.m. and last for approximately 13 hours.
  • In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled.

What to Expect

  • Increased truck traffic travelling through the area.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.

 

Traffic Details

  • The pedestrian route on the west side of Dufferin will remain closed. The north, south, and east crosswalk will remain open.  
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained. 
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.
