WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Guideway construction continues on Eglinton Avenue East at the CP bridge to west of Don Mills Road. To facilitate these works, a concrete pour will take place beginning at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019. A temporary lane closure of the inside eastbound lane will be required to complete this work safely. 


TIMING

  • 5:30 a.m. concrete pour on Friday, October 25, 2019.
  • Temporary closure of the inside eastbound lane will be required from 5:30a.m. to approximately 4:00p.m.  
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled or extended due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Concrete barriers will be temporarily removed to access guideway work zone for concrete pour.
  • Temporary eastbound lane closure on Eglinton Avenue East at the CP bridge to west of Don Mills Road to accommodate the staging of concrete trucks and pumps.
  • This stage is dedicated to guideway construction and includes: cutting and removal of existing asphalt, excavation, installation of subgrade materials, duct banks installation and track drainage, track slab and stops.
  • Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone. As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
