DATE: Additional Monitoring Wells at Avenue Station

 

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

 

Over the next two weeks, crews will work to install additional monitoring wells required for Avenue Station, east of the Secondary Entrance. The wells will be installed in the area around Eglinton Avenue W and Oriole Parkway. These wells support the ongoing monitoring instruments installations required during the construction of Avenue Station.

TIMING

  • The work starts as soon as October 15th, 2018.
  • Work will occur over approximately 10 days.  
  • Work will occur between 9:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Timelines are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Work zone will be removed outside permitted work hours.
  • Noise can be expected from the use of a pavement saw cutter, a hydrovacuum truck, and a drilling machine.

 

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Pedestrians should expect pylons on the sidewalk to guide them around the construction zone.
  • Lane reductions will be in place on Eglinton Avenue, between Highbourne Road anEastbourne Avenue and on Oriole Parkway at Eglinton Avenue to accommodate the construction zone.
  • On-street parking spaces on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West between Highbourne Road and Eastbourne Avenue will be impacted during this work.
