What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will relocate and upgrade existing overhead hydro utilities between the West Service Roads to the East Service Roads of Eglinton Ave East in preparation for construction of the Kennedy Portal and the Kennedy LRT Station.

Overnight Preparatory Works for Sewer Lining at Avenue Station

In advance of upcoming mining works at Avenue Station, crews must install sewer linings to the existing sewer infrastructure in the vicinity of the station on Eglinton Avenue West between Braemar Avenue and Lascelles Boulevard. Work also includes one location at Avenue Road and Burnaby Boulevard, as well as one location on Highbourne Road and one on Oriole Parkway. Read more »

Drill Move at Forest Hill Station

What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday, August 10, crews will move the drill rig located at the Secondary Entrance east to the Main Entrance in advance of piling at the Main Entrance.  The drill rig will exit the Secondary Entrance and travel east along Eglinton Avenue West, crossing Bathurst Street, over to the Main Entrance located on the northeast corner of Eglinton Avenue and Bathurst Street.  

During the move, traffic at the intersection will be stopped for approximately 15 minutes. Read more »

Avenue Station Secondary Entrance Sound Wall

Original Issue Date: July 6, 2017
Re-issue Date: August 10, 2017 

What Work is Happening?

Starting as early as Friday, August 11, work will begin to construct a sound barrier wall at the north side of the secondary entrance. This wall is engineered for maximum sound reduction and will be in place until construction of the station nears completion.

Trailer Relocation at Leaside Station

What Work is Taking Place?

With the start of piling operations at the Secondary Entrance, site trailers currently in the Metro parking lot will be relocated to the Main Entrance site on the south east corner on the south end of the site. Two flatbed trucks will be on site to transport the trailers.

UPDATE: Overnight Crosswalk Removal and Re-Painting at Leaside Station

What Work is Taking Place?

Leaside station is required to do a refresh to the existing crosswalk painting at the Bayview Ave and Eglinton Ave E intersection. Due to the volumes of traffic in the area and existing construction set up reducing available lanes, these works will be completed overnight.  Read more »

Update: Overnight Watermain Investigations for Laird Station

What Work is Happening?

To prepare for upcoming mining works at Laird Station, a careful inspection of watermains in the area is required. 

Crews will complete water leakage detection for the watermains on Eglinton Avenue East between Sutherland Drive and Brentcliffe Road. The scope of work includes testing watermains and associated fittings on Eglinton and 10 meters north/south of Eglinton.  Read more »
