UPDATE: Boulevard Restoration Works on the North Side of Eglinton Ave East between Ionview Road to Kennedy Road

 

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will continue boulevard restoration works on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East between Ionview and Kennedy Road. Partial or full driveway closures will be required to perform grading works to align driveways with the new road surface on Eglinton Avenue East.  Driveways may be restricted partially or fully beginning July 6, 2020. 

 

Signage will be installed directing vehicles to available driveway access.

Traffic Change at Kennedy Station - Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East

 

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Decking removal within the Eglinton Avenue East and Kennedy Road intersection will be complete early July 2020. A new traffic configuration will be implemented as early as July 6, 2020 for approximately six (6) weeks. The new configuration will allow crews to complete roadworks at the four corners of the intersection.

Upcoming Concrete Pour at Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East - Tuesday July 7, 2020

 

 

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday July 7, 2020, crews at Mount Pleasant Station will perform a concrete pour at the secondary entrance site. The concrete will form one of the permanent station structures underground. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 5:00 a.m. and take approximately twelve (12) hours to complete.

Update: Extended Construction Hours for Deep Excavation at Eglinton Station - June – August 2020

 

What Work is Taking Place?

Since late 2018, crews have been working extended construction hours to complete deep excavation of the future Eglinton Station.  In spring 2020, underpinning of TTC’s Eglinton Station box was completed.  The TTC box is now fully supported and deep excavation continues safely underneath. Lane Reduction for Concrete Pour at Caledonia Station June 29, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

On Monday June 29, crews at Caledonia will be pouring concrete to form a wall and a street level slab. During the pour, westbound Eglinton Ave W will be reduced to one (1) lane only between Blackthorne Ave and Gabian Way. Lane reductions will begin as early as 6:00am and last for approximately ten hours.

What Work is Taking Place?

From Sunday June 28 – Saturday July 4, 2020 crews at Mount Pleasant Station will work overnight to install the permanent catch basins on Eglinton Avenue East at Mount Pleasant Road. This work requires rolling lane closures. Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place. To minimize impact to the travelling public, this work will be performed overnight, when traffic is lighter.  Read more »
