Updated: Construction Begins for Traction Power Substation 12

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of continued support of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be commencing construction of the Traction Power Substation (TPSS) 12 that will power the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (ECLRT) line. The work will take place in a fenced work zone located on the north east side of Birchmount Road in close proximity to Toronto Police Service 41 Station. Read more »

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Throughout 2019, Eglinton Crosstown LRT construction will require temporary changes to intersection operations from Credit Union to Ionview for road paving and guideway construction. This work is required for the construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane) in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East. Read more »

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the continued support of excavation works (shoring) and utility relocations for the future Kennedy Station, traffic staging at the intersection of Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East will be changing in October.
