Disruption from service locomotives
Dear Neighbour,
As you may know, the Eglinton Crosstown LRT Project includes a 10-kilometre underground portion. Two Tunnel Boring Machines (or “TBMs”) are building the 3.5km eastern underground section of the Crosstown tunnels between Brentcliffe Road and Yonge Street. The TBMs are making great progress tunneling at an average rate of over 10-15 metres per day. They have completed approximately 70% of their journey and expected to be at Yonge Street in early September. Read more »
Short Term Lane Closures along Eglinton Avenue East for Monitoring Equipment Installation: Leaside (Bayview) and Laird Stations

Crews will be installing ground movement monitoring equipment at Leaside (Bayview) and Laird station locations. These monitors will provide information on ground conditions during station construction.

Mount Pleasant Installation of Dewatering Wells June 2016
What work is starting?
What: Crews are required to install dewatering wells in advance of the arrival of the tunnel boring machines, Don and Humber. Following the installation, dewatering work will commence as early as late June 2016.
When: Starting as early as May 30, 2016 until late June 2016, construction will begin on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Mount Pleasant Road. Some work may be rescheduled or adjusted due to weather conditions and/or unforeseen circumstances. Read more »

What work is starting?
What: Repair/maintenance is required for the road decking on Eglinton Avenue East at the emergency exit building near Leaside High School. Read more »
Roadway Restoration on Eglinton Avenue East and Mount Pleasant Road Continues
What phase of work is starting?
What: Crews are resuming road surface restoration in the vicinity of Mount Pleasant. This work is being done following the completion of the Mount Pleasant headwalls on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East.
Why: Temporary pipes were installed underneath the Eglinton Avenue East roadway for station headwall construction. With the completion of this work these pipes will now been removed and the roadway will be restored. Read more »
Overnight Watermain work for Keelesdale Station
Since December 2015, crews have been conducting work along Eglinton Avenue West in the vicinity of the future Keelesdale Station to prepare for the next phase of construction of the Eglinton Crosstown. Read more »
