Update: Vacuum Truck at Emergency Exit Building #3 (Overnight Work)

What work is happening?

Construction at the Emergency Exit Building (EEB) site at next to Leaside High School continues. The contractor is in the process of using a vacuum truck for the purpose of lowering the water level in the emergency exit building shaft, so that they can safely open the tunnel boring machine cutterhead to perform needed maintenance.

Overnight Emergency Road Work : Eglinton Avenue East Lane Closure between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street Sunday, March 6 at 7:00 a.m. to Monday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m.

What:  Crews will be conducting roadway surface reconstruction on Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street. During this work, Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane only for both directions of traffic. Paid Duty Police Officers (PDOs) and/or flagmen will be employed to control traffic at each end of the work site. Read more »

Emergency Exit Building Construction on South Side of Eglinton - Temporary Closure of Petman Avenue

What work is starting?

What: Work continues on the emergency exit building and will return to the south side of Eglinton Avenue East at Petman Avenue. Crews will relocate underground utilities and install secant piles. This stage of construction will take approximately 3 months to complete, before crews return to the north side of Eglinton Avenue East.

A temporary closure of Petman Avenue at Eglinton Avenue East will be required for the duration of this work.   Read more »
