Crane Installations at Chaplin Station: February 8, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the construction of the future Chaplin Station, crews will be installing a crane within the Main Entrance work zone. The crane will be installed as early as Saturday February 8, 2020 and will be in place for approximately one year. It will help facilitate lifting operations in and out of the station box. Properties and sidewalks adjacent to the cranes will never have a live load swung over them; loads will remain within the work zone

To install the crane, the northbound lane on Chaplin Cres, north of Eglinton Ave W will be closed. One lane on Chaplin Cres will remain open, and two-way traffic will be controlled by traffic control personnel and Paid Duty Officers. Lanes will be reduced as early as 6:00am for approximately 10 hours. Should there be any unforeseen circumstances, this work will take place on Sunday February 9.
