What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday, December 6, 2022, crews will begin removing the north-south crosswalk at Don Avon Drive and Eglinton Avenue East. The temporary crosswalk was put in place to facilitate the construction of Laird Station. Removal of the crosswalk will take approximately one (1) day to complete. Once removed, pedestrians will be directed to use the crosswalk at Laird Drive and Eglinton Avenue East. 

What to Expect

Crews will remove the temporary north-south crosswalk at Don Avon Drive and Eglinton Avenue East. Construction activities will include removal of the temporary traffic lights and zebra crossing lines at the crosswalk. Once removed, pedestrians will be directed to the crosswalk at Laird Drive and Eglinton Avenue East.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

• Work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

• This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• No changes to the current traffic configuration as a result of this work.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• The temporary north-south crosswalk at Don Avon Drive and Eglinton Avenue East will be removed.

• Once removed, pedestrians will be directed to use the crosswalk at Laird Drive and Eglinton Avenue East.

• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
