What Work is Taking Place?

On Wednesday June 19 and Friday June 21, crews will perform concrete pours at the main entrance station box of Fairbank Station. Work will begin as early as 7:00am and the pour will be ongoing for approximately 6 hours. The concrete will form walls in the station’s main entrance. Concrete pumps will be placed at Vaughan Road and within the Main Entrance workzone. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place. 

 

Hours of Work 

  • Wednesday June 19 and Friday June 21, 2019 beginning at 7:00 a.m. for approximately 6 hours.
  • In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled.

What to Expect
  • Noise and lighting from construction activity can be expected.
Traffic and Pedestrian Details
  • The pedestrian route around the southeast work zone will remain closed during this activity.
  • The pedestrian route on the east side of Dufferin will remain closed. The north, south, and west crosswalk will remain open. 
  • Access to properties along Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained.
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.
