What Work is Taking Place?

On Wednesday February 12, 2020, crews at Fairbank will be cleaning out one of the dewatering pipes. To complete this work, a truck will be staged east of the Main Entrance workzone, in the eastbound lane on Eglinton Ave W, east of Dufferin St. Both lanes on Eglinton Avenue W will remain open. Cleaning the pipe will begin as early as 10:00am and last approximately two hours.

 

Hours of Work

  • Wednesday February 12, 2020
  •  Pipe cleaning will take place between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
  •  Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

 

What to Expect

  • Crews will be sucking dirt, water, and dust out of the dewatering pipe located east of the Main Entrance work zone.
  •  Eglinton Ave W will remain open.
  • Property access will be maintained.
  • Expect delays when travelling near workzones.

Traffic Details

  • Access to properties at the intersection will be maintained.
  • The north, south, and west crosswalks at the intersection will remain open. The east crosswalk will remain closed.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
  • Travel delays are expected with construction. Please allow extra time for your journey.

 

 

Travelling Smart During Construction

Travel delays are expected with Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
