What Work is Taking Place?

Two properties are to be demolished to make way for the construction of Eglinton Station:

o The abandoned TTC bus depot located at 2190 Yonge Street. 

o The Salvation Army Community Church located at 7 Eglinton Avenue East.

 

Timing

Demolition works will last for approximately four (4) months. 

Demolition works will take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Work may be rescheduled due to weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

 

What to Expect

Residents and businesses near demolition sites should anticipate noise from excavators, bobcats, and other construction equipment as well as dust caused by demolition activity and removal of debris. 

For safety purposes, temporary metal fencing will be installed around each demolition site, with spotters present at gates as required during working hours.

 

Traffic & Pedestrian Details

Road closures are not anticipated for demolition works.

Laneway and sidewalk access will be maintained.

Traffic control personnel will be present to manage the flow of truck traffic into the construction site.
