What work is Taking Place?

Starting as early as mid-June 2016, crews will begin demolition of 256-258 Eglinton Avenue East, the former Second Cup building, to make way for the future main station entrance.  The existing building, a Metrolinx Heritage Property, was designed in 1928 and established as an Imperial Bank of Canada.  Certain structural and design elements of the existing building will be preserved.  During demolition, the building façade will be disassembled brick-by-brick, catalogued, labelled, and then reassembled upon construction of the future station structure.
