Dewatering Equipment Removal at Latimer Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West - October 5, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

On Tuesday October 5, 2021, crews at Chaplin Station will remove dewatering equipment from Latimer Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West. This work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

To facilitate this work, a crane and flatbed truck will be placed within the work zone on Latimer Avenue. The crane and truck will be removed once the work is completed.  

What to Expect

Noise from construction equipment, including a crane and truck, can be expected. There will be periodic traffic interruptions on Eglinton Avenue West as the truck enters and exits the work zone. A traffic control person will be present while this work takes place. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Tuesday October 5, 2021 for approximately one (1) day
  • This work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Latimer Avenue will remain closed at Eglinton Avenue West while this work takes place
  • Periodic traffic interruptions on Eglinton Avenue West as the truck enters and exits the work zone
  • Traffic control personnel will be present while this work takes place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work

TRANSIT INFORMATION

  • Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
