WHAT WORK IS TALKING PLACE

As part of the ongoing works at the railway corridor crossing Eglinton Avenue, crews will be installing six steel beam girders and will be closing Eglinton Avenue from Weston Road to Black Creek Drive to safely carry out the work on October 6th and 7th.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Eglinton Avenue will close as early as 5am on October 6th and will re-open no later than 8pm on October 7th.
  • Work will occur during regular working hours (7am – 11pm) on October 6th and 7th.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions of unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT IMPACTS

  •  Eglinton Avenue will close from Weston Road to Black Creek Drive.
  • TTC stops will be relocated as depicted below.
  • All other currently open sidewalks and crosswalks will be maintained during this work.
  • Access to Eglinton Avenue from Keelesdale Drive will be maintained.
  •  Expect traffic delays in this area.

PEDISTRAIN IMPACTS

  • All other currently open sidewalks and crosswalks will be maintained during this work.

Travelling Smart during Construction

  • Travel delays are expected with construction. Please allow extra time for your journey.
  • Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Eglinton Crosstown LRT construction.
  • When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
