What Work is Taking Place?

As early as mid-January 2023, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Avenue Station. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue between Avenue Road and Oriole Parkway will shift to the outer lanes, and construction will move to the centre of the road. Between Oriole Parkway and Lascelles Boulevard, traffic on Eglinton Avenue will remain on the south side of the street. This configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately two (2) months.

What to Expect

Storm and sanitary sewer connections, and road restoration works, will take place in the centre of Eglinton Avenue between Avenue Road and Oriole Parkway. Noise from construction activity, including trucks, breaking of concrete and asphalt, utility work, and use of heavy equipment can be expected. Construction vehicles and trucks will stage within work zones and traffic tapers. Traffic barrels, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate work zones. Occasionally, use of a hydro-vacuum truck, jackhammer and/or compaction roller will be required. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
