Enbridge Gas Distribution Line Relocation for Science Centre Station

What work is Taking Place?

• To accommodate the new Eglinton Crosstown, Enbridge is required to relocate a gas line.
• Work will start as early as June 20, 2016 and last for approximately six weeks.

Timing

• Work will occur Monday to Friday.
• The majority of work will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. 
• Work could be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

• Every effort will be made to minimize any disruption to those in the area.
• Residents and businesses near the work site can expect to hear noise associated with the operation of vacuum excavator trucks and other construction equipment related to this work.

Traffic Details

• The eastbound curb lane on Eglinton Avenue will be closed from  300 meters east of Leslie Street to Don Mills Road.
• There will be intermittent lane closures of both the east and west bound lanes to facilitate the gas line connection across Eglinton Avenue East.
• Right turns for eastbound Eglinton Avenue traffic onto southbound Don Mills Road will be maintained.

Pedestrians

• Access to and from properties will be maintained.
• Sidewalk access in the area could be affected – please watch for signage directing pedestrian traffic.
• As always, please take care when travelling near construction areas.

TTC Details

• TTC bus stops in the affected area may be relocated for the safety of transit riders. Please watch for posted signs indicating the adjusted locations.
