What Work is Taking Place?

On Friday July 26th 2019, crews will be reducing Dufferin St to one shared lane from 10am – 2pm. Crews will be conducting a critical concrete pour on both the west and east side of Dufferin St, north side of Eglinton Ave W. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue W will remain open while this work takes place.

Hours of Work

 

  • As early as Friday July 26th.
  • Eglinton Ave W will be reduced to one shared lane only from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Two-way traffic facilitated by traffic control personnel and Paid Duty Officers. 
  • In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled for a later date.

What to Expect

 

  • Crews will be pouring concrete at Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W, in both the northeast and northwest corner of the intersection.
  • Crews will be restricting Dufferin St to one lane, flipping traffic from the east side to the west side intermittently.
  • There will be two flagpersons directing traffic through the area for the duration of the work.
  • Noise and lighting from construction activity can be expected.

 

Traffic Details

  • Access to properties at the intersection will be maintained.
  • The north, south, and east crosswalks at the intersection will remain open. The west crosswalk will remain closed.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
  • Travel delays are expected with construction. Please allow extra time for your journey.
