Lane Realignment on Eglinton Ave E, west of Leslie Street for Road Works

What Work is Taking Place?

To accommodate continued road works on the south side of Eglinton Ave East at the West Don River Bridge (west of Leslie Street), a lane realignment will be implemented as early as October 29, 2020. Road works in this area will continue for approximately one month. All works are in support of the construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane) in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East.

What to Expect

Roadworks will include, concrete removals, excavation, construction of new sidewalks and curbs and final paving.

Hours of Work 

  • Work will begin as early as October 29, 2020 and continue for approximately four (4) weeks.
  • Work may occur from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven (7) days per week, Monday through Sunday.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Trafic Details

  • Traffic will remain reduced to one eastbound and one westbound lane east of Brentcliffe Road to west of Leslie Street.
  • There will be no changes to the Eglinton Ave E and Leslie St. intersection.

Pedestrian Details

  • The pedestrian walkway will remain available on the south side of Eglinton Avenue, east of Brentcliffe Road.

Transit Details

  • No changes to the existing TTC stop locations.

Other Information

  • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.
