What Work is Taking Place?

On Monday November 4th, 2019, crews will be pouring concrete under the traffic decking on Dufferin Street from 10am to 2pm. The southbound lane on Dufferin Street, north of Eglinton Avenue West, will be closed for approximately two hours, followed by the northbound lane for two hours. One lane on Dufferin Street will remain open, and two-way traffic will be controlled by traffic control personnel and Paid Duty Officers. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while this work takes place. Should there be any unforeseen delays, work will occur on Tuesday November 5th.

Hours of Work

  • As early as Monday November 4th.
  • Dufferin Street will be reduced to one shared lane from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Upon completion, the intersection will reopen to two lanes.
  • Two-way traffic facilitated by traffic control personnel and Paid Duty Officers.
  •  In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen delays, this work will be rescheduled to Tuesday November 5th.


Construction Staging

 Crews will be working on the east side of Dufferin St for approximately two hours.

What to Expect

  • Crews will be pouring concrete on Dufferin Street, north of Eglinton Avenue West.
  • Noise from construction activity can be expected.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.

 

Traffic Details

  • Upon completion of the works, Dufferin Street will re-open to two lanes.
  • Travel delays are expected with construction. Please allow extra time for your journey.
  • There will be flagpersons directing traffic through the area for the duration of the work.

 

Pedistrian Details

  • Access to properties at the intersection will be maintained.
  • The north, south, and east crosswalks at the intersection will remain open. The west crosswalk will remain closed.
