What Work is Taking Place?
On September 24, 2020, crews will perform a late-night concrete pour on Eglinton Avenue East, West of Birchmount Road. The concrete will form the plinths that will support the future tracks of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. The pour will take place between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.
To facilitate these works, one westbound lane will be temporarily occupied on Eglinton Avenue East, west of Birchmount Road.
What to Expect
Noise from concrete trucks and pumps, as well as site lighting, can be expected. Site lighting will be positioned away from residential properties. Concrete trucks will stage on Eglinton Avenue East and within the work zones. Expect delays while travelling through the area. Site based mitigation will be in place to minimize impacts to the neighbourhood.
HOURS OF WORK
• Work will take place between 10:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. on September 24-25, 2020.
• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
• One westbound lane will be temporarily occupied on Eglinton Avenue East, west of Birchmount Road.
PEDESTRIAN AND TTC DETAILS
• The east crosswalk will remain closed for this work.
• There will be no impacts to existing TTC routes or stops for this work.
