Friday September 4 and Tuesday September 8 2015
What: Crews will continue installing monitoring equipment at the intersection of Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue West. This equipment will measure important data related to the work of our tunnel boring machines underground.
Where: The equipment will continue to be installed within the roadway along Eglinton Avenue West and Avenue Road.
When: Specifically for the intersection of Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue West of the monitoring equipment will be installed:
Friday September 4, with work beginning at 8:00 am and to be complete by 5:00 pm.
Tuesday September 8, with work beginning at 8:00 am and to be complete by 5:00 pm.
Traffic Details
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the work zone, and temporary lane closures will be required to allow crews to perform work safely
- Traffic will be diverted around the work zone, separated by traffic cones
- On-street parking on Eglinton in the vicinity of the work will not be available.A Paid Duty Officer will be in the intersection to direct motorists as needed in the intersection.
Pedestrians:
Pedestrians will not be affected by this work. Access to all stores and businesses in the area will remain open during this installation. As always, please take care when travelling near construction areas.
Work Hours
This set up and/or work will be carried out as early as 7:00 a.m. and as late as 11:00 p.m. Efforts will be made to expedite the work as much as possible.
