Monday October 19 2015 to Wednesday October 21 2015

What: Monitoring equipment will be installed on Eglinton Avenue West in the vicinity of Vesta Drive. This equipment will measure important data related to the work of our tunnel boring machines underground. These measurements will allow construction crews to adjust tunnelling activities along Eglinton Avenue West if needed.

Where: The equipment will be installed within the roadway at Eglinton Avenue West. While this equipment is being installed, crews will be working within one lane of traffic with rolling lane closures to drill and install the monitoring equipment. 

When: This monitoring equipment will be installed between Monday October 19 2015 to Wednesday October 21 2015 between 7:00 am and 4:00pm.

Traffic Details

  • Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the work zone, and temporary lane closures will be required to allow crews to perform work safely
  • Traffic will be diverted around the work zone, separated by traffic cones
  • A Paid Duty Officer will be on-site to coordinate traffic and direct motorist as needed in the intersection while the work is taking place.  

Pedestrians

Pedestrians will not be affected by this work. Access to all stores and businesses in the area will remain open during this installation. As always, please take care when travelling near construction areas.

Work Hours

This work will be carried out between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Efforts will be made to expedite the work as much as possible.
