What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will be working night shifts over a three night period in the rail corridor, performing installation of a cold air blower snow clearing device at the track switch, south of the Black Creek Drive Bridge. This work will involve the use of high-railed vehicles and excavation equipment.

Crews will enter the Rail Corridor at the GO Transit gate on Clouston Avenue. Equipment and vehicles will use the existing track crossings to connect onto and high-rail down the Go Transit W2 Track to the switch and bungalow location, south of the Black Creek Drive Bridge, where work will be isolated to that location. The same path will be used by the crews to exit the site at the end of the shift.

Hours of Work

  • Work is expected to occur from Wednesday January 17 to Friday January 19, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions of unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear noise and feel vibrations similar to those experienced with excavation work and train traffic.
