As early as late-January 2021, crews at Mount Pleasant Station will begin structural steel installations at the Secondary Entrance. This work will take place above street-level at the Secondary Entrance site and within the adjacent work zones. Periodically, a mobile crane will be placed within the parking lot at 801 Mt Pleasant Road, north of the Secondary Entrance site (depicted above). Use of the crane is required to safely facilitate the steel installations for the walls and the roof of the Secondary Entrance structure.
This work is expected to take place Monday - Saturday from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. for approximately three (3) weeks. Crews will endeavor to perform this work during the day however, occasional overnight work may be required to ensure safe lifting operations. Crane swinging and lifting will take place within the work zones.
What to Expect
Use of a mobile crane to lift construction materials within the work zones. Structural steel will be visible at the secondary entrance from street level. Noise from construction activities, including trucks, crane movements and material loading, can be expected.
Hours of Work
- As early as late-January 2021
- This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. for approximately three (3) weeks.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic and Pedestrian Details
- No changes to the current traffic configuratoin and pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.
