Noise Barrier Wall and Soil Nail Wall Removal

As early as Fall 2021, crews will begin removing the temporary noise barrier wall and soil nail wall located on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Brentcliffe Rd. The temporary walls were erected in 2014 to facilitate the construction of the east portal. Removal of the walls will take approximately two (2) months. 

What to Expect

Crews will remove the noise barrier wall and soil nail wall located on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Brentcliffe Rd. Construction activities will include removal of the exterior noise wall, excavation and compaction of the soil behind the wall, and removal of the exposed portion of the soil nail wall. Access to businesses and properties will be maintained. Noise from construction equipment can be expected. 

Hours of Work

•    Work will take place as early as Fall 2021 and last for approximately two (2) months.

•    Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

•    Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances

•    Work may be longer or shorter than expected.
