What Work is Taking Place?

In preparation for the tunnel breakthrough for construction of the future Keelesdale Station crews will begin the first concrete pour through the Yarrow Road entrance for the Traction Power Substation (TPSS) Building.

  •  Work is expected to occur overnight on Monday October 30 to Tuesday October 31, 2017 from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions of unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Concrete pump will set up at Yarrow Rd.
  • Trucks will access the work zone from Eglinton Avenue West onto Yarrow Road.
  • Heavy truck traffic entering and exiting the work zone (approximately 6-7 trucks every hour).

Traffic Impacts

  • An overnight lane closure will occurr in the eastbound lane on Eglinton between Bicknell Ave and Keele street during concrete pour hours of 11am to 8am.

Noise Mitigation

  • White noise/broadband back-up alarms on all equipment/trucks. Broadband back-up alarms, unlike traditional truck back-up alarms, are only heard within the hazard area.
