Overnight Eastbound Lane Closure on Eglinton Avenue West between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive - August 5, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday August 5, 2021, crews will be preforming overnight wet utility connections on Eglinton Avenue West.  To facilitate this work safely, eastbound traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue West between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive will be closed between approximately 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. for one (1) night.  Eastbound traffic will be detoured south on Weston Road.

What to Expect

Expect delays while travelling through the area. Noise from construction equipment can be expected. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Thursday August 5, 2021, for approximately one (1) day.
• Work will take place between approximately 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
• Work may take longer or shorter than expected.
• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstance.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Eastbound traffic lanes will be closed on Eglinton Avenue West between Weston Road and Black Creed Drive, while this work takes place.
• Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be detoured south on Weston Road.
• The southbound left turn and northbound right turn at Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West will be restricted for the duration of this work.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• No pedestrian impacts are associated with this work.

TTC INFORMATION

• The TTC bus routes 32, 32D, and 332 Eglinton West eastbound will be diverted south of Eglinton Avenue West on Weston Road.
• The eastbound TTC bus stop on Eglinton Avenue West at Weston Road will be temporarily relocated south of Eglinton Avenue West for the duration of this work [TTC route Eglinton West 32, 32D, and 332]
• The eastbound TTC bus stop on Eglinton Avenue West at Black Creek Drive will be temporarily relocated east of Black Creek Drive for the duration of this work [TTC route Eglinton West 32, 32D, and 332]
