WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

On the night August 24th between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. crews will perform work on a water main located in the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West. During the work, all northbound traffic on Oakwood Avenue will be restricted. One lane in each direction for southbound, westbound and eastbound traffic will be maintained. TTC and emergency vehicles will be allowed through and PDO and traffic control personnel will be deployed to support traffic during the closure.

 TIMING 

  • The work will take place on the night of August 24th, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Residents near the work site can expect to hear trucks, excavators, backhoes, concrete trucks and other construction equipment.
  • There will be a water shut off associated with the works for all even and odd numbered properties between 1562 and 1634 Eglinton Avenue West between 11:00 p.m. and 5 a.m. If your property is impacted you will receive a separate notice with more details.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near construction zones.

 

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • There will be no northbound access to Eglinton Avenue W from Oakwood Avenue.
  • One lane for south, west and eastbound traffic will be maintained.
  • There are no pedestrian impacts related to this work.
  • There are no TTC impacts related to this work.
