WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, a temporary lane closure will be implemented overnight on May 19, 2020 to accommodate waterproofing works on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East at the West Don River Bridge. The westbound lane on Eglinton Ave E will be closed between the Brentcliffe Portal and the Leslie Street intersection.
HOURS OF WORK
- The closure will take place beginning at 10:00 p.m. on May 19 through to 6:00 a.m. on May 20, 2020.
- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Crews will be performing waterproofing works at the West Don River Bridge on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East.
- Noise from construction equipment and vehicles can be expected.
- Site lighting will be required.
- Motorists can expect delays while travelling through the area.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Closure of the westbound lane on Eglinton Avenue East between the Brentcliffe Portal and Leslie Street.
- Eastbound and westbound traffic will alternate in the eastbound lane.
- Flaggers and paid duty officers will be onsite to direct motorists through the area.
PEDESTRIAN AND TTC DETAILS
- No impacts to existing pedestrian routes and TTC stops.
