What Work Is Taking Place?

On Friday, November 11, 2022, crews at Chaplin Station will work overnight to complete paving works at the intersection of Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue. Rolling lane closures are required to complete this work. Periodically, Chapin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane only, with traffic alternating in each direction.  Once the paving works are completed, crews will perform traffic line painting from Saturday, November 12 - Sunday, November 13, 2022, between 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

What to Expect

Overnight noise from construction activities, including paving, can be expected during this work. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. Expect delays while travelling through the Intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Paving works will take place overnight on Friday, November 11, 2022, between 11:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
  • Traffic line painting will take place from Saturday, November 12 – Sunday, November 13, 2022, between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • Periodically, Eglinton Avenue and Chaplin Crescent will be reduced to one lane, with traffic alternating in each direction
  • Short-term pedestrian rerouting may be in effect during this work

TTC DETAILS

  • Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
