Overnight Rogers Utility Relocation Work at Fairbank Station

What Work is Taking Place?

Since September 2016, crews have been relocating existing telecommunications (Rogers) utilities in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street in preparation for station construction.

On November 4, crews will install the remaining overhead Rogers cables into an underground duct bank, backfill the trenched area, and lay metal plates.  This activity requires a full closure of the intersection at Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West, and will be conducted overnight to minimize traffic disruption.

Once this activity has been completed, crews will complete the remaining Rogers utility relocations work north of Eglinton Avenue West, and begin removing the metal plates from the roadway.

  • Rogers utility relocation will take place overnight for period of approximately five (5) hours, beginning Friday November 4, from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
