Traffic Configuration

 

As early as Wednesday, September 1, 2021, crews will begin overnight work at Eglinton Station to facilitate TTC connection works, including stair and escalator construction. This work will take place on 24-hour basis, Monday through Friday, for approximately ten (10) weeks. 

 

Construction activities will include road deck removals, excavation, shoring installations, hauling, material deliveries, and concrete works. Overnight work will take place on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, between Duplex Avenue and Yonge Street. What to Expect

 

Overnight noise from construction equipment, including, excavators, trucks, generators, and compressors can be expected. Truck staging in and around the work zone. Construction lighting is required and will be positioned away from residential properties. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. 

 

Hours of Work

  • As early as Wednesday, September 1, 2021, for approximately ten (10) weeks
  • Construction will take place on a 24-hour basis, Monday through Friday. 
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances. 

 

Traffic and Pedestrian Details

  • No changes to the current traffic configuration and pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.
