Cedarvale Station: Overnight Work - Eastbound Eglinton Lane Closures
What Work is Taking Place?
In order to access the excavation shaft below Eglinton Avenue West at Allen Road South to make repairs on a pump, the eastbound lanes of Eglinton Avenue West at Allen Road South will close for one night (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.).
Hours of Work
- Work is expected to occur from 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 16 until 5 a.m. on Friday, August 17.
- Please note that work could be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- The westbound off-ramp Allen Road traffic lane will not be affected.
- The westbound through-traffic lane will be reduced to a shared lane with eastbound traffic.
- All eastbound traffic approaching the Allen Road will be reduced to a two-way shared lane.
- Paid-duty officers will be on site directing traffic through the intersection.
- Residents and businesses near construction sites should anticipate noise from excavators, bobcats, and other construction equipment caused by the work and removal of debris.
Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
