What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing work to construct Kennedy Station, crews will install temporary light poles and lines in the South Parking Lot starting as early as October 11, 2017. The work will be performed overnight in an effort to minimize disruption to the public and transit users.

Hours of Work

  • Work starts Wednesday, October 11th and will last for approximately one (1) week. 
  • This work will take place overnight between the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Conducting the work overnight helps to minimize impact on transit users during peak hours.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Crews will work within delineated work areas within the South Parking Lot. The work should not impact roadways or pedestrian pathways.
  • Nearby businesses and residents can expect minimal noise from this work.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Pedestrian and property access will be maintained.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.

TTC Details

  • TTC bus stops in the affected area may be relocated for the safety of transit riders. Please watch for posted signs indicating the adjusted locations.
  • Relocation and re-routing of bus stops is done in consultation between TTC and Metrolinx to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers.
