Pedestrian Information

Please cross the streets at corners with traffic lights or stop signs. Crossing in the middle of a block can be dangerous.

Pedestrian walkways will remain open.  Barriers will be used to separate the work zone from the traffic. During construction, some sidewalks will be closed for public safety. Please watch for additional signs re-directing pedestrians.  Please take care when travelling near construction areas.

Vehicular traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Eglinton Avenue East from Falcon Street to Lillian Street.

Transit Stop Relocations

Both eastbound and westbound TTC bus stops in the affected area will be relocated for the safety of the transit riders. Watch for posted signs indicating the new locations.

The Crosstown Project

The Eglinton Crosstown is a 19-kilometre light rail transit (LRT) line that will run along Eglinton Avenue through the heart of Toronto, with an underground central section. The line will connect Mount Dennis in the west to Kennedy Road in the east, and the new service will be up to 60% faster than the bus service today.
