September 6, 2016

Construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line, including 15 underground stations, is underway. Since the end of school, many construction sites have been set up for station construction and the set-up of some major intersections along Eglinton Avenue has been changed.

Pedestrian Information

Please cross the street at traffic lights or designated crossings. Crossing in the middle of a block can be dangerous. Pedestrian walkways will remain open. Barriers will be used to separate the work zone from the traffic. During construction, some sidewalks will be closed for public safety. For your safety, please watch and obey additional signs re-directing pedestrians.

Transit Stop Relocations

Relocation and re-routing of bus stops is done in consultation between TTC and Metrolinx to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers. Both eastbound and westbound TTC bus stops in the construction zone will be relocated for the safety of the transit riders. Please watch for posted notices indicating the new locations.

As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
