What Work is Taking Place?
To prepare for the construction of Eglinton Station, crews have begun the next phase of re-routing existing hydro utilities in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue and Yonge Street.
For this next stretch of the work, crews will be working to reconstruct an existing cable chamber to accommodate new services within the City of Toronto’s public right-of-way. Crews may use a hydro-vacuum truck, excavators, jack-hammer and other construction equipment.
One night of work is planned for the early morning hours of May 2nd (12:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.). More overnight work may be required, and will be communicated in advance.
Noise mitigation measures will be in place and sounds levels will be monitored.
