Resumption of Construction at Chaplin Station Tertiary Entrance

What Work is Taking Place?

In April 2019, crews will be resuming work at the Tertiary Entrance site, located east of Chaplin Crescent on the south side of Eglinton Avenue adjacent the old Toronto Fire Hall.  The site will be used for trucks, equipment and material storage. 

Later in April 2019, pile installation of the north wall of the Tertiary Entrance (at Eglinton Avenue) will commence.  Once pile installation begins, pedestrian rerouting and truck staging will be in effect.  More detail will be provided in a future notice.

  • April 2019 for several weeks
  • Regular construction hours are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

What to Expect

  • The Tertiary Entrance is closed to public vehicle access
  • Trucks, construction equipment and material will be present within and in the vicinity of the Tertiary Entrance
  • Noise from construction activity and site lighting can be expected
  • Fencing, concrete barriers, scaffolding, signage and other safety measures may be in place
