What work is starting?
What: Following the completion of Mount Pleasant headwall work, road surface restoration is required on Eglinton Avenue East, west of Mount Pleasant Road to Brownlow Avenue.
When: Starting approximately from Tuesday, June 14, 2016 until approximately Friday, June 17, 2016.
Where: Crews will be working in the middle lanes on Eglinton Avenue East, west of Mount Pleasant Road to Brownlow Avenue.
Why: This work is necessary in order to restore Eglinton Avenue East to its original condition after headwall construction, completed in early 2016 for the future Mount Pleasant Station.
Traffic Details
- Traffic along Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to at least one lane in each direction.
- Traffic will be shifted to the eastbound and westbound curb lanes of Eglinton Avenue East around the work zone.
- All turns will be maintained.
- All driveways and sidewalks will be maintained during this stage of construction.
Work Hours
Most of the work will be carried out between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., 7 days a week. In certain situations, some late night and/or early morning works may be required to complete the work and keep construction moving. The contractor will not always work during the extended hours, but may do so at its discretion.
