Due to the heavy precipitation experienced last week, the start date for overnight resurfacing work has been pushed back by one (1) day. The work is now scheduled for May 8-10.

At Science Centre Station, crews will be resurfacing the intersection at Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East to improve the uneven road surface accrued during construction and the winter season. Milling and paving activities will occur overnight to minimize traffic impacts and begin as early as 7 p.m. on May 7, 2019. Work will occur between the hours of 7 p.m. - 6 a.m. May 8-10, 2019. There will be temporary changes to the traffic configuration (depicted below).  Traffic will revert to the current configuration each day.  


Work will occur overnight between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. May 8-10 , 2019.

Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

  • May 8: Stage 1 and 2
  • May 9: Stage 3 and 4
  • May 10: Stage 1 and 2


  • Lane restrictions are required to complete resurfacing activities.
  • Road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone.


  • Intermittent crosswalk closures will be required for the safety of pedestrians.
  • A minimum of three crosswalks will be maintained and signage will be installed directing pedestrians to available crosswalks.
  • Paid Duty Officers and/or flag person will be onsite overnight to assist in directing traffic and pedestrians.
