What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Monday, February 28, 2022, crews will be performing sidewalk and driveway restoration works at 1730 Eglinton Avenue East. To facilitate this work safely, the sidewalk at 1730 Eglinton Avenue will be temporarily closed and pedestrians will be safely rerouted around the work zone. Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane at 1730 Eglinton Avenue East. This lane reduction will only be in place while work takes place and will be reinstated at the end of each workday. Driveway access to 1730 Eglinton Avenue East will be restricted on a 24-hour basis for the duration of this work. The affected properties have been notified directly. This work is expected to take place on Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) weeks.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activities, including concrete breaking and trucks, can be expected. Access to the sidewalk and driveway will reopen upon completion of the work.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday, February 28, 2022, for approximately two (2) weeks.
- This work is expected to take place on Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Work may take longer or shorter than expected.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane at 1730 Eglinton Avenue East while work takes place and will be reinstated at the end of each workday.
- Driveway access at 1730 Eglinton Avenue East will be restricted on a 24-hour basis for the duration of this work.

- The sidewalk at 1730 Eglinton Avenue East will be temporarily closed and pedestrians will be safely rerouted around the work zone.
