What Work is Taking Place?

On Tuesday October 29th, 2019, crew adjusted the northwest sidewalk along Eglinton Avenue West, west of Dufferin Street. Crews are digging a trench to facilitate hydro works. The sidewalk will reopen to its original position as early as Friday November 1st, 2019. Hydro works will continue until as early as November 10th, 2019. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place.  

Hours of Work

  • Work will occur between 7:00am and 11:00pm.
  • In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled.

What to Expect

 

  • The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, west of Dufferin Street will be shifted from Tuesday October 29th until as early as Friday November 1st.  
  • Crews will be digging a trench to facilitate hydro diversions.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.

Pedestrian Details

  • The pedestrian route on the west side of Dufferin will remain closed. The north, south, and east crosswalk will remain open.  
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained. 

 

Traffic Details

  • There are no impacts to traffic.
