Sidewalk Restoration at Eglinton Avenue West - Weston Road & Black Creek Drive May 25 – August 31, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as May 25 and lasting until August 21, crews will be performing curb and sidewalk restoration on Eglinton Ave W at the intersections of Weston Rd and Black Creek Dr. To facilitate this work, crews will occupy one lane on Eglinton Ave on the northwest corner of the Black Creek Dr intersection. Crews will also occupy two lanes on Eglinton Avenue as well as two lanes on Weston Road on the northeast corner of the Weston Rd intersection. Left and right westbound turns onto Weston Rd from Eglinton Ave will be restricted. One through-lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at each intersection. Work will begin as early as 7:00am and last until approximately 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

What to Expect

Crews will be performing curb and sidewalk restoration on Eglinton Ave W at the intersections of Weston Rd and Black Creek Dr, including storm sewer work, installation of electrical conduits, grading work and concrete pours. Left and right westbound turns onto Weston Rd from Eglinton Ave will be restricted. Lighting and noise from construction equipment can be expected.

HOURS OF WORK

• Work will begin as early as May 25 and last until August 21
• Work will take place between 7:00 am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
• Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
• This work may take longer or shorter than expected

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Left and right westbound turns onto Weston Rd from Eglinton Ave will be restricted.
• One through-lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained in all directions at both intersections.
• All turns will remain open at the Eglinton Ave W and Black Creek Rd intersection.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• The east crosswalk at the Eglinton Ave and Weston Rd intersection will be closed during this work.
• The north and east crosswalks at the Eglinton Ave and Black Creek Dr intersection will remain closed during this work.

TTC DETAILS

• Westbound TTC bus stops will be temporarily relocated around Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West, and Black Creek Drive and Eglinton Avenue West
