Update: Eglinton Avenue East Extraction Shaft Work In North Lanes
What: Work continues at the extraction shaft on Eglinton Avenue between Yonge Street and Lillian Street. The next stage of work is set to begin, which will remain on the north lanes of Eglinton Avenue. This work will include, heavy civil construction; installation of secant piles, jet grouting, daylighting and relocating utilities. Read more »

Update: Emergency Exit Building Construction near Petman Avenue - Utility Relocation Work Moves to the Middle Lanes of Eglinton Avenue East
Emergency exit buildings (EEBs) are built in between stations when station platforms are more than approximately 760 metres apart to allow for easy evacuation of passengers. The construction of an EEB includes the building of an evacuation pathway, a set of stairs from the tunnel to ground level, and a small building at the surface. The scale of construction is similar to building a small-scale underground station. Generally, it takes up to 24 months to complete construction at each EEB.

Overnight Eglinton Avenue East Closure between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. starting as early as June 15
WHAT: On behalf of the City of Toronto, Metrolinx will be reconstructing the surface of Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street. Between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street, Eglinton Avenue East will be blocked and traffic will be diverted. Paid Duty Officers (PDOs) will be employed to control traffic at each end of the work site. Read more »
Re-location of Temporary Pedestrian Walkways
What: Metrolinx will be working to relocate major telecommunications infrastructure currently located beneath the west construction site and the north/south pedestrian walkway located on the west side of Allen Road.
Where: The initial work zone will be extended north along the pedestrian pathway from Eglinton Avenue West north to Whitmore Avenue. Read more »

Short Term Allen Road Lane Restrictions for Trucking Staging Lane and Construction Compound
What: Installation of truck staging lanes and additional site facilities for Eglinton Crosstown project. This road work and installation of an additional lane is required for the re-launch of the tunnel boring machines at Eglinton Avenue West and Allen Road and the construction of tunnels from east of Allen Road to Yonge Street.
