What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, October 24, 2022, crews at Avenue Station will begin sidewalk restoration works on the north side of Eglinton Avenue between the Secondary Entrance site and Oriole Parkway. To facilitate this work safely, pedestrians will be diverted around the area where the new sidewalk is being built. This work will take place between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) weeks. Access to businesses will be maintained.

What to Expect

Temporary pedestrian rerouting. Noise from construction equipment including jackhammers, saw cutters, concrete trucks, and hammers can be expected. Advance signage will be in place to direct pedestrians. The existing sidewalk will be removed and a new sidewalk will be constructed in its place.

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Monday, October 24, 2022
  • Work will take place Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) weeks
  • Overnight work may be required
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • Temporary pedestrian rerouting will be in effect
