What Work Is Taking Place?

As early as Wednesday September 16 for approximately one week, crews at Black Creek Drive will be reinstating damaged sidewalks between Black Creek Dr/Eglinton Ave W and Black Creek bridge. One eastbound lane on Eglinton Ave W will be closed from west of Black Creek Dr towards Black Creek bridge. The south sidewalk at the southeast corner of Black Creek Dr and Eglinton Ave W will be closed, however pedestrians will be rerouted outside of the community centre. 

What to Expect

On Wednesday September 16, crews will close one eastbound lane on Eglinton Ave W at Black Creek Dr. Pedestrians will be rerouted towards the community centre. Noise from construction equipment can be expected.

HOURS OF WORK

• Crews will be working regular hours, from as early as 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
• This work may take longer or shorter than expected

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Eastbound lane will be restricted to one lane from west of Black Creek Dr towards Black Creek bridge
• All other traffic restrictions will remain in place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• South sidewalk from SE corner of Black Creek Dr/Eglinton towards Black Creek bridge will also be closed. Pedestrians will be re-routed to the community centre during this closure.
• Access to businesses and properties will be maintained

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• TTC bus routes will be accommodated and service will not be affected
