The line will connect Mount Dennis in the west to Kennedy Road in the east, and the new service will be up to 60% faster than the bus service today.

Temporary Sidewalk Closure for Forest Hill Station

What Work is Taking Place?

In April 2016, crews began demolition of 874-876 Eglinton Avenue West to make way for the secondary entrance of Forest Hill Station.  Demolition work resumed on May 31st.  For the safety of the public and workers, a temporary sidewalk closure will be in place for approximately one week to complete some of this work as early as June 13.

Timing

  • Work is permitted between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., 7 days a week
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion
  • In the event that overnight is required, Metrolinx and CTS will notify the public in advance and monitor activities throughout

What to Expect

  • Nearby businesses and residents can expect increased noise caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment, as well as dust from demolition activity and debris removal
