Temporary Traffic Configuration Change at Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West - August 3, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday August 3, 2021, crews will implement a temporary traffic configuration at Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West to faciliate road restoration works. This configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately one (1) week. Once this traffic stage is complete, crews will shift construction outside of the intersection and a new traffic configuration will be implemented.  Significant traffic, pedestrian, and TTC changes will be in effect. 

What to Expect

Expect delays while travelling through the area.  Noise from construction equipment can be expected. Turn restrictions and lane reductions will remain in place on a 24-hour basis.  Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Tuesday August 3, 2021, for approximately one (1) week
• Work will take place between approximately 7:00 am – 7:00 p.m.
• Work may take longer or shorter than expected
• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstance

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Northbound, southbound, and westbound left turns at the intersection will be restricted for the duration of this work.
• Traffic on Weston Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while this work takes place.
• One lane of through-traffic in each direction will be maintained.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• The north-south crosswalk on the east side of Eglinton Avenue will be closed for the duration of this work.   

TTC INFORMATION

• The northbound TTC bus stop on Weston Rd will be temporarily relocated north of Hollis Street for the duration of this work [TTC route Mount Dennis 171]
• The TTC bus route 71 Runnymede southbound will be diverted south of Eglinton Avenue West.
